Ashby School Signage and Graphics

Here at Zoom we love taking care of a rebrand project. At the start of the summer holidays Ashby School engaged us to update some of the walls in their new Year 7 area of the school. The brief was simple enough...full coverage of graphics on some walls, profile cut decal lettering and logos on some other walls and a new external sign.

Heading up the project for Ashby was the knowledgable photography teacher "Anna Richardson". With experience using Adobe Illustrator software Anna was confident that she could prepare the artwork with just a little guidance from our art-working team. Our project manager Darren visited the school to prepare some measurements and advice on the most suitable processes to create the best impact.

Wall Graphic

At 8 metres wide we decided to produce a full graphic in one piece. The advantage to this is that it avoids creating joins on the graphics which little fingers can pick at!

With vibrant UV print on a durable RafaCanvas material this really created an impact when you enter the department.

These graphics can be produced to any width and up to 3m in height in one piece! It's a great alternative. The material will completely blockout whatever it is being applied to so coloured walls are no problem.

With a matt non reflective finish and a 330gsm weight this really does portray a luxury finish and better still...it's B1 fire rated, completed PVC free so is 100% recyclable.

Profile Cut Lettering

A major part of the schools refresh was the new mantra "Respect / Responsibility / Resilience". Anna wanted to focus on some key words surrounding these and created some nice artwork using various bold colours and interesting fonts.

We decided that there were three walls had been repaired and painted a few weeks previously...this would be a great base for the graphics.

We printed onto a premium Mactac WW300 vinyl and using our state of the art cutting machine, cut out all of the lettering to be applied to the walls.

Using cut graphics in this manner is a great way to project school ethics and mantras and can feature logos, imagery and text to ensure your school identity is used. It also creates the feeling that the text is part of the school structure.
